A two-component matte clear coat in an activate-and-spray can (H2)
SprayMax 2K Matte is a two-component acrylic clear coat that dries to a matte finish, measured at 12 ±3 gloss units at 85° on completely dried basecoats. The manufacturer developed it for the small damage repair process and for complete painting of mounting parts. The aliphatic isocyanate activator stays separate inside the can until you press the red button, so there's no measuring or mixing. It's very fast drying and levels well.
What to spray it over, and what not to (H2)
Use it over solvent or waterborne basecoat systems, or over old paint that has been cleaned, sanded and dried per the paint maker's instructions. Do not apply it over acrylic lacquer topcoats. Matte clear coats can't be polished, because polishing changes the gloss and colour impression, so the finish you spray is the finish you keep. The manufacturer requires a respiratory mask, gloves and goggles and lists this product for professional use only. The SDS signal word is "Danger", with these hazards:
